If Black Friday — or even the thought of it — really kicks your butt, chances are you need a moment to slow down and take a more human approach to your shopping this weekend.
Postmarket is the perfect place for you to get your shopping, socializing, and sipping done, all in one place. National 10th will be hosting some of the city’s best vendors for your shopping pleasure, as well as DJs, Postmark Brewing beer specials, a Lululemon yoga session in the mezzanine.
Entry is by donation, with all proceeds going to Inn From The Cold. The fun kicks off November 26th at 2 pm and all ages are welcome.
Here are a few of the vendors we’re excited to see.
Lululemon
Lululemon – the beloved athletic apparel company we all turn to for yoga, running, training and number of other strenuous pursuits, will be hosting a yoga session in the mezzanine. This is a sweaty session you won’t want to miss! You’ll leave feeling completely rejuvenated, relaxed, and ready for the week ahead.
Postmark Brewing
Postmark Brewing is a Vancouver born-and-built craft brewery. Inspired by their West Coast lifestyle, Postmark enjoys taking a collaborative approach toward their other passions in life including music, photography, travel, sport, design, events and especially those who are taking risks and making great things happen — they are also the supporting brewery behind Postmarket, so make sure you stop by and give them a high five!
Vossity
Avalon Lukacs and Sanja Serwa founded Vossity because of their common interest in personal care products free of harsh ingredients. Knowing all-natural products aren’t easily accessible the power duo wanted to provide consumers with an enjoyable online shopping experience. Within their line you’ll find a wide selection of skin care, body care, makeup and nutrition products and brands for everyone that are organic and cruelty-free.
Elysia Rose
With a background in graphic design, self-taught artist, Elysia Rose combines her technical skills with her passion for art to create unique, colourful pieces. Rooted in personal confrontations, her work is honest and a celebration of raw beauty. Find her at the Postmark’et selling prints, framed prints and some originals.
Calgary Heritage Roasting Company
Business partners and best friends, Jamie Parker and Mike Wenzlawe go way back to their days at Mount Royal University, and then as wildland firefighters. They had an epiphany on one of their many backpacking adventures: everything tastes better outdoors. It’s this feeling they try to capture with their coffee roasts. Since starting CHRC, they’ve become one of Calgary’s go-to roasters for that “homegrown, outback, rugged, mountain-fresh, clear skies” cup of joe.
Beatnik Bus
Beatnik Bus is a 1990 Ford Econoline bus that travels around spreading the love of vinyl to all who enter. Stock up on holiday records or find your next favourite album, all while enjoying beer and good food!
Van Winkle Designs
You never know what you’ll find at this curated collection of vintage housewares and collectibles. Make you house a home with the addition of a whimsical piece or two.
